On February 27th at approximately 2245 hours the Waretown Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Route 9 and Pancoast Road for a reported motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, Rescue Engine 3631 located a snapped pole on the ground and a vehicle into the woods. Upon arrival, the sole occupant of the vehicle had self-extricated and there were no electrical hazards on the ground. Crews on scene secured the vehicle, assisted with patient care and packaging, and traffic control. JCP&L was advised of the incident as well as New Jersey Natural Gas due to the vehicle striking a gas service. Rescue Engine 3631 operated for approximately one hour on scene and was released.
