Knox Box Infomation

Ever wonder how Fire, Police or EMS personnel gain access to a residence or business that is locked?  Depending on the severity of the situation forcible entry could be preformed or the personnel on location will need to wait for a key holder to arrive with a key. If the situation does require forcible entry it normally results in damage to a door and its locks costing hundreds of dollars in repairs. To help reduce the possibility of damage Waretown Fire Company has become a strong believer in the Knox Box program and suggests everyone understands how it can help during an emergency. 

A Knox Box is an access control system that will allow Fire or Ambulance personnel to gain access without damaging doors or locks. The Knox Box can not be unlocked without a master key, which the Waretown Fire Company carries on its trucks. When the personnel on site notice you have a Knox Box they will request for the key in the truck. The Officer will log the request in their comptuter. Once the personnel on site are done with the master key it will be returned to the truck.

The Waretown Fire Comapny and Waretown Police now authorizes the abilty to make these purchases online at KnoxBox. To purchase a box for your building follow these steps:

1.) After clicking the above link; Scroll down on the page till you see the green shopping cart and click on that.

2.) Search for us either by zip code "08758" or by Department "Waretown" When you see our department name appear, click on the green "OK"

3.) By default you will be directed to the series 3200 page. This box only holds 10 keys. If you believe you will have more keys than this, please click on the tab on the left side for the series 4400 boxes. Once on the appropriate page, you will see the recommended boxes.

4.) Select the check box for the appropriate color you wish, HINGED door, and the mounting preference you want.
