2025 Installation of Officers Dinner

On February 8th, members and guests attended the Waretown Volunteer Fire Company's annual installation of officers dinner. Members, their families and guests were thanked for their hard work and dedication to the department throughout 2024. The line officers and executive officers of 2025 were sworn in and multiple awards were presented.

Ed Conner's CPR for Fishermen Fundraiser
Waretown Fire, March 30
On September 14, 2024 Ed an avid offshore fisherman and respected member of the fishing community passed away while heading out to the fishing grounds. His crew of two started CPR and acted immediately as well as notifying the Coast Guard. The crew continued CPR for 2 hours.

Ice / Cold Water Rescue Training

Early this morning the Waretown Fire Department conducted ice/cold water rescue training. Reported Structure Fire
Waretown Fire, January 21
On January 21, 2025 Waretown Fire, Station 61, NEMA EMS and Waretown PD were dispatched to the area of Illinois Ave and Main St for a reported house fire. Caller stated there was smoke in the Kitchen, possibly coming from the crawl space. Waretown Fire, January 12
On January 12, 2025 at approximately 9:25 PM Waretown Fire was dispatched to a structure on Veteran's Drive. It was reported something smelled like it was burning with a haze in the building. 3600 (Chief Leaming), 3610 (DC Hurley) arrived on location. E3601, arrived on location followed by E363. On January 12, 2025 at 6:29 Waretown Fire was dispatched to the area of 3rd St and Seneca Blvd. 3600 (Chief Leaming), 3610 (DC Hurley), arrived in the area as Engine 3601 and Engine 3631 staged in the area of Seneca Blvd and 3rd St. Crews investigated the odor and the scene was shortly turned over to NJNG once they arrived. ... Motor Vehicle Accident

On December 31, 2024 Waretown Fire was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident with entrapment at the intersection of Rt 9 and Clearwater. Chief 3600 (Leaming) arrived on location of a two vehicle accident with no entrapment. On December 25, 2024 Waretown Fire Company units were clearing from a fire in Stafford Township when they were dispatched to a possible partial building collapse.
